OUR STORY
How It All Started
Hi, I’m Sharon, wife, mom to an incredible little boy, and the heart behind Nalani Collective.
I started this business in 2020, not from a grand plan or formal training, but from something far more powerful, a love I never knew I had. One day, I picked up a needle and thread, and what began as simple curiosity quickly turned into something magical. Sewing became my therapy, my creative outlet, and eventually, my calling.
But life isn’t always a straight line. I’ve been living with Achalasia, a rare, chronic illness that has impacted my life since I was 14. This year marks my 16th year with it, and there have been seasons when it took everything just to keep going. I’ve faced setbacks, health challenges, and moments where I had to step away completely. Rebuilding hasn’t been easy, but it’s been worth it.
Now, after taking time to heal and rebrand, I’m back, and Nalani Collective is more than just a shop. It’s a love letter to resilience, to creativity, and to every person who believes in slow, intentional beauty. Every scrunchie, turban, and headband is handmade with care, not rushed, not mass-produced, but crafted in the quiet moments between motherhood and healing.
When you purchase from Nalani, you’re not just supporting a small business, you’re sharing in a story of comeback, passion, and purpose. My hope is that you feel the same love, time, and energy that went into each piece, and that it brings comfort, confidence, and a little sparkle to your everyday life.
Thank you for being here. I see you. I appreciate you. And I’m so excited for what’s to come.
With love,
Sharon
